Wes has been a web developer since 1997, developing web sites for large corporations, small business and the nonprofit community. Throughout this time, he has donated his time and expertise to various nonprofits around the country.

Wes founded Tools for Organizations in late 2000, and began providing services for the needs of the nonprofit and mission based community. Since then, Wes has both continued to improve many of the web based tools based on client needs, and developed extensive web tools for national level nonprofit affiliates. These web based tools make a significant difference in an organizations processes, communication (public and staff) and often greatly improve volunteer or client experience with the organization.

In late 2006, Wes (& thus Tools for Organizations) moved to the big island of Hawaii. This is not the same island where the city and state capitol Honolulu is located. The reasons for the move are numerous. One being that Tools for Organizations is an internet/phone based business, so as long as those are readily available, proper support for all the Tools for Organizations clients is possible. Land in Hawaii, on the big island, is affordable! Another is the ability to have a significant garden here and grow most of one's own food. The typical temperature where Wes bought his land (780 feet above sea level) is 64-86 degrees year round. The closest ocean is 8 miles from Wes' land. The hope is to eventually have the Tools for Organizations office entirely 'off the power grid'. Plans are in the works for a solar/wind system in the next few years. Wes also rides a recumbent trike-bicycle to the local town of Keaau to check mail, go the bank, and grocery store. So, in some ways, Tools for Organizations is a green company. Please note that our servers (your website and data) are located at a large, power hungry, diesel backup generator(s), multiple internet backbone data center in Texas. In the event a *viable* green data center is available, we would consider moving our servers there. Until then, Tools for Organizations is not willing to chance down time for this important part of so many organizations.
